Installing the SBS On Demand app from Google Play store
The SBS On Demand app does not come preinstalled on Android/Google TVs, so it needs to be downloaded from the Google Play store.
You will need a Google account/ID to download the SBS On Demand app from the Google Play store. Don't have one? Here's how you can create an account here: https://accounts.google.com/SignUp
Once you've set up your Google Account, you can install the SBS On Demand app on your Google/Android TV.
When you first access the SBS On Demand Android TV App on your device, you’ll need to sign in. To do this, use the directional arrows on your remote control to navigate to “Sign In” button. The button will highlight in grey. Select to continue.
You will then be asked if you would like to use a “Stored System Account” or if you would like to enter your email address in manually. We recommend entering your email address in manually – unless you are certain of your Google Play store system account details.
You will then be prompted to enter your email address. Select “Enter Email” and an on-screen keyboard will pop up on your TV’s interface.
Use the on-screen keyboard and the directional arrows on your remote to enter your email address. Once you’ve entered your email address, click on the “Enter” key on the keyboard. The on-screen keyboard will disappear and select “Next”.
If you’re signing in with an existing SBS On Demand account, the following page will show up and prompt you to either sign in by entering your password manually or if you prefer, to sign in using a “Magic Link” which will be emailed to your inbox.
If you choose to sign in using your password, select “Enter Password” to continue. Use the on-screen keyboard and the directional arrows on your remote to enter your password and then select “Sign In”.
