SBS has transitioned from DVB-S to DVB-S2 transmission standard for its satellite distribution signal carried on Optus D1. The re-transmission DTV facilities which are taking input from Optus D1 for SBS will have to upgrade their satellite receivers to be able to receive the SBS DVB-S2 input signal.
