The SBS On Demand app is available on Amazon Fire TV devices. However, it does not come preinstalled and must be downloaded from the Amazon Appstore.
On the Amazon home screen, select the orange Appstore icon. Then:
- Select the Search (magnifying glass) icon in the top-left corner.
- Using the directional arrows on your remote and the on-screen keyboard, type “SBS” into the search field.
- Select SBS On Demand from the search results.
- On the app details page, select the SBS On Demand app to install the app.
How do I sign into the SBS On Demand app on my Amazon Firestick?
Once the app is installed, you will need to sign in to your account to watch videos.
Use the arrow pad (up, down, left, and right arrows) on your remote to navigate the on-screen keyboard and enter your email address.
After entering your email address correctly (this is important), use the arrow buttons to highlight “NEXT”, then press OK on your remote.
After selecting "NEXT", you'll see the following screen with your email address appearing under the "Email" heading.
Note: If you do not see this screen after entering your email address, you may not have an SBS On Demand account, or your email address may have been entered incorrectly.
Press on the "down arrow" on your remote to select "NEXT" again.
A new screen will prompt you to either sign in with your password or use the Magic Link email sign-in method. If you choose Magic Link, an email will be sent to your nominated inbox. Open the email and select the link provided. Your TV will automatically sign you in shortly after.
If you choose to sign in with your password, use the arrow buttons on your remote to navigate the on-screen keyboard and enter your password.
Once your password has been entered correctly, use the arrow buttons to highlight “NEXT”, then press OK on your remote.
When you see a screen showing your email address and SIGN OUT, you have signed in successfully. Use the arrow buttons on your remote to go to the app home screen or select a program to watch.
