If you are using a television that isn't supported to access the SBS On Demand app directly, then you can still watch SBS On Demand on your existing television. There's no need to purchase a new television to continue watching.
A HDMI cable can be used to connect your laptop or desktop to mirror the content directly onto your existing television.
HDMI cables come in many different sizes and lengths and will look like this:
All televisions, including non-smart televisions will come with multiple HDMI ports. These ports are usually located behind your TV or on a side panel with your video and audio ports.
It will look similar to this:
Simply plug one end of the HDMI cable into the correct port on your television and then plug the other end of the cable into the HDMI port on your laptop or desktop.
You will receive a notification on your TV that there is an active connection. Select the correct "input" channel on your TV and the contents on your laptop will then be mirrored onto your television.
