An account is required to access programs on SBS On Demand. After you sign up, you'll receive an email with a link to verify your account. You'll need to verify your account before you can start watching.
Creating an SBS On Demand account is free, quick and easy. To set up an account, you'll need the following information:
- First Name
- Birth Year
- Gender
- A Valid Email Address
- Password containing at least five letters and one number.

Select the drop-down menu for the device you’re using to create your account.
Website
To create an account via the SBS On Demand website, simply visit: https://www.sbs.com.au/ondemand/ and click on "Create Account" in the top right hand corner.
You'll then be prompted for your account information.
Once the above details have been entered, click on "Create Account" and you'll see a notification advising an email has been sent to your inbox to verify your account.
Please check your spam and junk inboxes for the verification email.
Once you locate the email, click on the "Activate your account" link in the email to verify your account.

Scanning the QR Code
After scanning the QR Code on your TV screen, select the Create Account button on your mobile or tablet device. You'll be prompted for your:
- First Name
- Year of Birth
- Gender
- Email Address and
- Password
To verify your email address, open the verification email and select the verification link.
Sign in with your new details to complete the registration process.
iOS and Android
- Open the SBS On Demand app on your mobile or tablet device.
- Tap on the profile icon located at the top of the application.
- Select "Create An Account".
- Follow the on-screen prompts to set up a new account.
Didn't receive an email to activate your account?
- Check your spam or junk folders. The email may take up to a minute to arrive.
- Double-check the email address you used to sign up for SBS On Demand. Make sure all characters were entered correctly in the email field.
