The FIFA World Cup 2026™ will commence on the 12th of June and conclude on the 20th of July 2026.
SBS will broadcast all 104 matches of the 39-day tournament live across SBS, SBS VICELAND and dedicated streams, featuring all 48 teams. Coverage will also include the Opening Ceremony and FIFA World Cup™ half-time shows.
Extensive highlights and catch-up content will also be available on SBS On Demand including:
- 104 full match replays
- 104 mini matches (approx. 30 minutes each)
- 104 extended highlights (12 minutes each)
- Short-form content (including 3-minute highlights and all-goals matchday packages)
- Daily highlight and preview shows
- Approximately 20 Socceroos daily shows

Once your SBS On Demand account has been created, you can create a favourites list based on your favourite FIFA World Cup™ team, save programs to watch later and opt-in for our handpicked recommendations.
