Closed captions will be available across all content from the FIFA World Cup™ 2026.
This includes the following:
- 104 full match replays
- 104 mini matches
- 104 extended highlights
- Short-form content
- Daily highlight and preview shows
- Approximately 20 Socceroos daily shows
Captions are delivered differently depending on the type of program. Pre-recorded programs use prepared caption files timed to match dialogue, while live programs such as news and sport, including the FIFA World Cup™ 2026 use real-time captioning created as the broadcast airs.
As a result, live captions for these events may appear with a delay of approximately 3–7 seconds.
