Did you know the SBS On Demand app on your iOS or Android device can notify you when a program in your favourites list has a new episode added, or when an episode is about to expire? When you enable push notifications, you can be sure you won’t miss a moment of your favourite programs.
We may also occasionally send notifications about upcoming shows and events worth tuning in to, as well as personalised recommendations based on the programs you’ve watched previously.
To receive these notifications, make sure notifications for the SBS On Demand app are enabled in your device’s Settings.
- Tap on the "Settings" icon on your device.
- Scroll down to Apps and select the SBS On Demand app
- Next to “Notifications,” make sure the toggle is turned on.

Within the SBS On Demand app on your device, tap the profile icon at the top of the screen to enter the profile page. From there:
Select “App Settings.”
Toggle the button to ON under “New Episodes” to receive notifications when new episodes are added, or under “Expiring Episodes” to receive notifications when an episode is about to expire.
The button will turn yellow when the setting is enabled.
Note: before doing the above, make sure the program has been added to your Favourites List. You can do this by tapping the heart icon on the program page. You're all set!
