You can now sign into the SBS On Demand app on your TV by using a QR code.
What is a QR Code?
A QR code is a small square barcode made of black and white boxes that links to a website when scanned with your device's camera app.
Scanning the QR code on your TV screen will automatically link you to the website with the URL: https://www.sbs.com.au/connect. Sign into your SBS On Demand account using your email address and password, then enter the code shown on your TV when prompted. Once signed in, your TV will automatically link to your account and log you in.
You can also sign into your account using your remote by entering your email address and password manually.
How do I sign into my account with the QR code?
After opening the SBS On Demand app on your TV, select "Sign In or Create An Account".
A new page reading: "Connect Your TV" will appear.
- Grab your mobile phone or tablet device and open the camera application.
- Point your device at the QR code presented on your TV screen and click on the link.
- You will be redirected to: sbs.com.au/connect to commence the login process.
On the following page, you might be prompted to sign in with your email address and password on your device if you haven't signed in previously.

Once your login details are accepted, you’ll see a screen on your mobile device asking you to enter the code shown on your TV. Type the code from your TV into the Code field and select Submit.
You will then see the Success screen, notifying you that your TV is now linked to your account. You TV will now automatically sign you into our application within 10 seconds.
How do I sign into my account with my remote?
On the page with the heading "Connect your TV", select the "Sign In with Remote" option. You will then be prompted to enter your email address and password.
Using the keyboard on the left hand side and the directional arrows on your remote, type in your email address first. Select "Next" to tab down to the Password field. Enter your password and select "Sign In".
If you do not remember your password, select "Forgot your password?" and follow the prompts to reset your password.
