What are the different ways I can access and watch SBS content?

On TV
SBS TV free-to-air channels are available in all regions of Australia. Viewers can access our SBS Channels via Digital TV, or a Digital Set top box connected to a TV, via the channel numbers below

Your Digital TV or Set Top Box are required to be connected to a roof antenna via the antenna port on your device. Detailed support on SBS Transmission Information can be found here.

On a Smart TV or connected device
SBS On Demand (free video streaming service) is available on a range of Smart TVs. Set Top Boxes
The SBS On Demand app can be accessed on a range of set top boxes, including Foxtel, Fetch TV, Apple TV, FireTV and Chromecast with Google TV.

On Mobile
The SBS On Demand App is available for iOS (iOS 15 or higher) and Android (Android 8 or higher) devices, via each respective app store (Apple App store, and the Google Play store). Offering a curated selection of dramas, documentaries, comedies, movies, sport, news and more, available to stream anytime and anywhere.

You can create favourites, save programs to watch later and opt-in for our handpicked recommendations.

Website
Our SBS On Demand service can be accessed through any Computer Desktop or Laptop device, which is connected to the internet. To do this, please access our website SBS On Demand, and follow the instructions on screen. Using Foxtel

Vast
In areas of Australia where the terrestrial DTV signal is not available, viewers may wish to install Viewer Access Satellite Television or VAST. VAST provides digital television and radio services to viewers in regional and remote areas of Australia; as well as viewers who are unable to receive digital TV through their normal antenna. Overseas
Content rights agreements mean that SBS On Demand is only available in Australia. Even if you're an Australian citizen you cannot access the service from overseas unfortunately.
