The SBS On Demand app on Fetch set-top boxes is currently experiencing some limitations where English subtitles are not displayed for dialogue in languages other than English (LOTE) in certain programs. Affected programs include: Safe Home, The Old Man, and Paris Has Fallen.
English subtitles will need to be switched on manually within the player. A guide with illustrations has been attached below.
- Start the video.
- From the player, press the up arrow on your Fetch remote.
- Use the right arrow to navigate to the Accessibility icon.
- Press the paw button to open the Subtitle menu.
- Under Subtitles, press the down arrow to select “ENGLISH (Forced)”, then press the paw button to confirm.
The side menu will disappear and English subtitles will then appear on your screen.
